Congratulations on your Resin Bonding. To ensure the success of your treatment, here are a few essential steps you need to follow.
Numbness
If you received local anesthetic, your lips, tongue, and/or cheek may remain numb for 1–3 hours.
Avoid eating or chewing until the numbness wears off to prevent accidental biting.
Sensitivity
Mild sensitivity to hot, cold, or pressure is normal for a few days.
This should gradually improve.
If sensitivity persists longer than 1–2 weeks or worsens, contact our office.
Eating & Drinking
You may eat once numbness is gone.
Avoid biting directly into hard foods (ice, hard candy, nuts) with bonded teeth.
Limit staining foods and beverages:
Care & Maintenance
Brush and floss normally, gently around the treated area.
Avoid using your teeth as tools (opening packages, biting nails, chewing pens).
If bonding chips or feels rough, call our office for evaluation.
Longevity
Regular dental cleanings and exams are important to maintain the restoration.
